Meeting on Myanmar-China Bilateral Cooperation led by the Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations was held at the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, Nay Pyi Taw today afternoon.
At the meeting, the Union Minister highlighted the implementation status of major bilateral cooperation projects aiming for poverty reduction, infrastructure development, human resource development and cross-border trade promotion particularly for the agricultural and livestock products exports through efficient and effective cooperation in line with Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), Agreements, and Exchange of Letters signed between Myanmar and China.
Moreover, he also urged the representatives to report timely on the implementation constraints of the projects and policy matters needed to be coordinated between the two countries.
Then, the Deputy Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, U Than Aung Kyaw discussed the matters relating to the implementation of bilateral cooperation projects.
After hearing the progress reports from Permanent Secretaries and Director Generals of the executing agencies, the Union Minister and Deputy Minister provided the necessary guidance for successful implementation of the projects and future cooperation.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, Permanent Secretaries and Director Generals from executing agencies. Rrepresentatives from Mandalay Region Government Office and Yangon Region Government Office virtually attended.
