UNION Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations U Thaung Tun and Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism U Ohn Maung received Pa-O ethnic leader U Aung Kham Hti and party in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

The meeting discussed matters relating to the implementation of rural tourism enterprises including community-based tourism at 14 ethnic villages including the villages of Pa-O ethnic nationals near Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, and manufacturing and exporting of quality agricultural products of Pa-O Self-Administered Zone.

They also exchanged views on the socio-economic development of local Pa-O ethnic nationals, creating job opportunities, and human resource development via tourism industry and investments.

Deputy Ministers U Bharat Singh and U Tin Latt, Nay Pyi Taw Development Committee Member U Min Thu, Pyinmana Township Pyithu Hluttaw MP U Than Soe Aung also attended the meeting.—MNA
