    With the motto of “Revitalize MIFER 2022”, the consultation workshop on finalizing Green MIFER Plan was virtually and physically held this afternoon at Office No. (1), MIFER.
    The meeting was chaired by U Than Aung Kyaw, Deputy Minister for Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations and the officials from two departments, DICA and FERD and, also from State and Regional offices attended the meeting.
    At the meeting, the Deputy Minister discussed that Green MIFER Plan is in line with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and it is necessary to measure with indicators, budget accessibility and individual responsibilities in implementing the Plan.
    During the meeting, the Permanent Secretary discussed that as our ministry’s motto “Revitalize MIFER 2022” has been designated, the Green MIFER Plan is drawn to implement the motto. In the Green MIFER Plan, all inclusive and  effective measures and procedures in accordance with Myanmar Climate Change Policy have been set to respond and adapt for climate change.
    Moreover, the Permanent Secretary explained that good environmental practices have  been drawn  in Green MIFER Plan and the staffs and officials need to do and follow those practices individually and organizationally  to implement the Ministry’s motto, “Revitalize MIFER 2022”. In addition, the Permanent Secretary emphasized that as the global climate is changing day by day, it is individually need to follow good environmental practices.
    The meeting also discussed the short and medium terms plans to implement Green MIFER Plan from the concerned departments respectively.
