A virtual donation ceremony for effective response to COVID-19 by 21 local / foreign companies in Myanmar to the National-Level Central Committee on Prevention, Control and Treatment of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) was held on 28 October 2020.
Chairman of the Myanmar Investment Committee (MIC), Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations U Thaung Tun, Union Minister for Health and Sports Dr. Myint Htwe, U Bharat Singh, Deputy Minister for Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, senior officials and donors attended the ceremony.

First, Union Minister U Thaung Tun gave welcome remarks in honour of the donation. Then, representatives from donor companies presented cash virtually to the national level central committee on prevention, control and treatment of covid-19. After that, on behalf of the donors, the representative from Ooredoo Myanmar Ltd explained their donation, and Union Minister Dr. Myint Htwe expressed words of thanks.

At the ceremony,

• Ooredoo Myanmar Limited donated US$ 25000,

• MPRL E&P Pte Co.,Ltd. donated Ks 30 million,

• Wilmar Myanmar Co.,Ltd. donated Ks 13 million,

• Marga Landmark donated Ks 10 million,

• Grand Royal Group International Co.,Ltd., Pathein Industrial City, Mother Group of Companies, Super Seven Star, Myanmar Women Entreperneurs Network (MYANWEN), Myanmar Cosmetic Association and donated Ks. 5 million each,

• Europe & Asia International Co.,Ltd, High Energy Co.,Ltd, and TA-FA Trading Co.,Ltd. donated Ks 2 million each,

• Medi Myanmar Group Co.,Ltd., Earth Group of Companies, Paing Family International Co.,Ltd., Treasure Link Co.,Ltd., SP Bakery Family, Deco-Land Co.,Ltd., and Khin Maung Nyunt Trading Co.,Ltd. donated Ks. 1 million each.

The total donation from 21 companies is US $ 25,000 and Ks. 96 millions.
