The 4th meeting of Working Committee (4/2021) to address the impact of COVID-19 on the national economy was held this morning.
The meeting was chaired by U Aung Naing Oo, Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations. Members of the working committee Deputy Ministers, from Ministry of Planning and Finance, Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population and Ministry of Commerce, Deputy Governor of Central Bank and representatives of the Ministries concerned joined the meeting.
In the meeting, the Chairman of Working Committee highlighted that State Administration Council had rectified the terms of reference (TOR) of the Working Committee for more effective implementation. The Chairman also discussed further processing measures on policy making, liberalization and streamling of procedures, coordination and cooperation among the ministries in accordance with the Committee’s functions to assist smooth operation of the businesses.
The meeting also discussed relief measures carried out by concerned ministries, future plan of actions and issues raised by the business community.
