1. Myanmar and Luxembourg established the diplomatic relations in 31st July, 2012.

Cooperation with Luxembourg Agency for Development Cooperation (Lux Dev)

2. To develop Hotel and Tourism sector, Agreement for Vocational Training in Tourism and Hospitality was signed between Ministry of Hotel and Tourism and Luxembourg Agency for Development Cooperation (Lux Dev) on 5th January 2015. The project has been ongoing with the granted amount of euro 8.5 million from Luxembourg Agency for Development Cooperation for the period of 2015 to 2021.

3. The Memorandum of Understanding for the Rural Development Project in east part of Shan State was signed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation on 12 December 2018. The project has been implemented with the granted amount of euro 10 million from Luxembourg Agency for Development Cooperation for the period of 2018 to 2022.

4. Luxembourg is providing assistances to Myanmar for development cooperation including poverty reduction.
