1. Diplomatic relations between Myanmar and the Netherlands has been started on 22nd December 1947.

Cooperation with Netherlands

2. Memorandum of the Understanding on Cooperation in the field of Agriculture, Food Safety, Livestock, Fisheries and Farmer’s Organizations between the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Netherlands was signed by Union Minister for the former Ministry of National Planning and Economic Development and Agricultural Minister for the Netherlands on 19th May 2015. Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation has implemented as each projects.

3. Mandalay City Development Committee (MCDC) has implemented the Pyigyitagon Water Supply Project with the amounted of euro 59.92 million; (50% grant and 50% loan) from the Netherlands for the period of 2019 to 2021.
