2022 Monsoon Tree Planting Ceremony was held at compound of Office No. 1, Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations (MIFER) in Nay Pyi Taw this morning. The occasion was graced by the presence of Union Minister U Aung Naing Oo and Deputy Minister U Than Aung Kyaw and also joined by Permanent Secretary, Director General, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Deputy Director Generals and 75 officers and staffs.

The event was held with the aims to make the workplace green, clean and smart, to encourage the public and service personnel for growing and loving plants and trees and to conserve the nature so as to support in creating favorable and sustainable environment.

During the occasion, the Union Minister and Deputy Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations planted Ingyin sapling and Footstool palm sapling respectively. Permanent Secretary, Director General of Foreign Economic Relations Department, Deputy Permanent Secretary, officials and staffs actively took part in tree planting ceremony.

The Union Minister and Deputy Minister then inspected and inspired growing of saplings by officials and staffs.  

At today’s ceremony, about 108 saplings of flowering plants, shade trees and wind shield trees such as Ingyin, Footstool palm, Mesua ferrea, Star-flower, Cherry etc. were planted at the designated places in the park of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations.
