Dr. Wah Wah Maung, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, CLMV SEOM Lead, attended the 22nd Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Viet Nam (CLMV) Senior Economic Officials’ Meeting which was held via videoconference on 23rd February 2022.  
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Nguyen Phuc Nam, Deputy Director General, Asia-Africa Market Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade of Viet Nam, and attended by senior economic officials from Cambodia, Lao PDR Myanmar and Viet Nam and the representatives, and the officials from ASEAN Secretariat.
The senior economic officials discussed the implementation status of CLMV Action Plan (2021-2022), the implementation of the project “Promotion of Competitiveness within the Framework of the Initiative for ASEAN Integration (COMPETE)” funded by GIZ, the progress of the formulation of the Implementation Plan for the CLMV Development Framework, the implementation of Initiative for ASEAN Integration (IAI) Work Plan III and IV, and the future program of the CLMV Economic Cooperation.
The senior economic officials also exchanged views on the ways forward to organize the events such as virtual trade fairs, trainings and workshops under the CLMV Action Plan 2021-2022 during the COIVD-19 Pandemic, and to secure the funding support and technical assistance from development partners.
 The officials from Foreign Economic Relations Department also joined the meeting.
