Dr. Wah Wah Maung , Deputy Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, received Ms. Nabanita Chakrabarti, Deputy Chief of the Mission of Embassy of India in Yangon at Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations in Nay Pyi Taw today morning.

At the meeting, they cordially discussed the matters on bilateral economic cooperation and Indian grant-in-aid projects.

In particular, they also have a detailed discussion on the progress of Small Development Projects proposed to Indian side, the new additional proposed projects to be implemented by relevant ministries and the rehabilitation projects for the affected areas of Cyclone Mocha in 2023 under Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Indian Grant Assistance for Implementation of Small Development Projects. Senior Officials for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations were also present at the meeting.

Small Development Project is the quick-win grant project provided by Indian Government with the amount of under 2 million USD for implementing socio - economic development especially in health, education and community development sectors.
