The Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations (MIFER), the aiming to develop human resources and improve staff member’s capacity, conducted the 42nd ceremony of Friday Talk of Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP) at the Office No (1), Nay Pyi Taw. MIFER’s Union Minister Dr. Kan Zaw attended and delivered the opening remarks.
The Union Minister pointed out that the topic “Analysis of Agriculture, Livestock and investment potential of Ayeyarwady Region” is directly related to the investment promotion and facilitation which is one of the ministry’s functions. He highlighted that Ayeyarwady has dense population, arable land, being a region that produces many products based on agriculture, livestock. The Region also has many beautiful beaches to visit for relaxation, and is one of the important regions for country’s economic development by doing comprehensive investment activities and tourism among 15 Regions and States. Likewise, the union minister emphasized that the good transportation, the abundant resources, the dense population and being a delta area are the opportunities of doing investment in the Ayeyarwady Region. Therefore, he urged participants to actively discuss in today’s talk.
U Thet Paing, Director of the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration from office of Ayeyarwady Region presented the topic “Analysis of Agriculture, Livestock and investment potential of Ayeyarwady Region”. After that, the Deputy Minister and the attendees were openly discussed the matters related to agriculture, infrastructure, tourism, local branded products and investment situation of Ayeyarwady Region.
The deputy minister, director generals and senior officials total 120 persons of the staff joined this program.
