The Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations (MIFER), the aiming to develop human resources and improve staff member’s capacity, conducted the 43rd ceremony of Friday Talk of Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP) at the Office No (1), Nay Pyi Taw. MIFER’s Union Minister Dr. Kan Zaw attended and delivered the opening remarks.
The Union Minister pointed out that the topic of No. 43 KSP is “Knowledge Sharing for Seminar on cross border logistics under the Framework of RCEP”, and the topic sharing today is Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), the 15 countries’ agreement, signed by ASEAN member states and dialogue partners (China, Japan, Korea, New Zealand and Australia) which represents 30 percent of world population and 30 percent of the world’ GDP. The Union Minister underlined that the member states of RCEP including Myanmar are implementing with the guidance of RCEP such as setting the limitation of tariff rate between member states, processing the normal trade and cross-border trade, proceeding the export and import with international barcode system, facilitating for import/ export with Single Window System (SWG) and controlling the cross- border electronic system. Likewise, he highlighted that the monitoring the cross- border electronic system and the modernized X- Ray Machines are undertaking in cross border trade routes in Myanmar. Finally, he stressed that KSP holds for imparting the knowledge and to realize the methods which can be used for country’s development by apply the knowledge from today’ talk and urged all participants to take part actively in the discussion.
Daw Nwe Nwe Win, Assistant Director of the Union Minister’s Office detailed presented the topic “Knowledge Sharing for Seminar on cross border logistics under the Framework of RCEP”. After that, the Union Minster and the attendees were openly discussed the matters related to the core values of country’s development, anti- corruption, rural development, development gap between rural and urban region and poverty reduction as well as the matter on the effective methods for country’s development through knowledge sharing programme.
The discussed points are important to build the comprehensive nation. The senior officials total 120 persons of the staff joined this program.
