The opening Ceremony of the Capacity Building Training (1/2024) of Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations was held at the Office No. (1) of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations this morning. The Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, Dr. Kan Zaw attended and gave an opening remark.
In his opening remarks, the union minister, Dr. Kan Zaw pointed out that the training objectives are to develop the human resources, to boost the capacity and capability of MIFER’s staffs, to understand more about staff duties and to be able to perform office work in timely and quickly with the professional skill. The union minister also said that the capacity building trainings for Staff Officers and under staffs was held 4 times in 2023 and totally 233 trainees had successfully completed the trainings, and the lecture times are two times a day without leaving the daily office tasks and totally 53 times are lecturing for the training. Furthermore, the union minister highlighted that as the aiming of the ministry’s capacity building programme is to enhance the capacity and capability of staffs so MIFER’s staffs need to focus for improving the knowledge and capability day by day, and the lesson learns and experiences are the best teachers to apply in practical field. Finally, the union minister urged the MIFER’s staffs to build the cooperation and coordination among staffs, to create the working with environment, to develop the mutual understanding among staffs, to perform to be a good civil servant not only by following the staff duties and office disciplines but also by endeavouring with industrious, truth, wisdom and integrity to the country as well as the ministry.
The subjects to be taught at the capacity building training (1/2024) are the objectives, responsibilities and current implementation status of the ministry, Management, Good Governance, Union Civil Service Law and Regulations, Office Writing and Office Work Manual, International Law, Diplomatic Privileges and Immunities, Public Finance Management (PFM), Auditing and Preparation for Examination and Anti-corruption duties as well as the subjects that MIFER’s staff aware of will be taught by officials from MIFER and inviting lecturers from concerned ministries.
The opening Ceremony of the Capacity Building Training (1/2024) was attended by the Deputy Minister, Director General and nearly 120 persons of senior officials and staffs from ministry by in person and online system.
The training will be taught from January 22 to February 27, 2024 and, the next training and the advance trainings will be hold continuously.
