Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, Dr. Kan Zaw, received a delegation led by Mr. Chen Xiaodong, Chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), this afternoon at Park Royal Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views in a warm and friendly manner on a range of matters pertaining to China’s prompt humanitarian assistance and support provided in response to the recent devastating earthquake in Myanmar, post-earthquake recovery and rehabilitation projects, efforts to enhance socio-economic development cooperation between the two countries, and future plans for bilateral collaboration.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, the Director General for Foreign Economic Relations Department, and other senior officials of the Ministry from the Myanmar side and the Director Generals of CIDCA’s Regional Affairs Department and International Cooperation Department, other CIDCA representatives, and officials from the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar attended from the Chinese side.
