The opening ceremony of Livelihood and Food Security Trust Fund (LIFT) Forum 2019 held at Kempinski Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw on 11 June 2019.

The ceremony was attended by Union Ministers, senior officials from ministries concerned, ambassadors from embassies of donor countries and representatives from development partners.

At the ceremony, H.E Dr. Aung Thu, Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, H.E U Thaung Tun, Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations and H.E Andrea Faulkner, Australian Ambassador to Myanmar gave opening remarks.

LIFT Fund is a multi-donor trust fund and it was established in Myanmar in 2009. Since 2010, LIFT has been operating in the areas of agriculture, livelihood, microfinance, nutrition and migration with the total funding of   US$ 509 million to improve the lives and prospects of smallholder farmers and landless people in rural Myanmar.
