The second Kathina Robe Offering Ceremony held of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations was held at Office No.(1), Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, Nay Pyi Taw this morning.

Members of Sangha led by Presiding Monk of San Myaing Taw Ya Monestry Bhanddanta Thuria attended the ceremony. Union Minister U Thaung Tun offered Kathina robes and donation items to San Myaing Taw Ya Monestry’s Presiding Monk Bhanddanta Thuria. Then, Deputy Minister U Bharat Singh, Permanent Secretary U Aung Naing Oo, Director General for Foreign Economic Relations Department U Than Aung Kyaw, and staff donated Kathina robes and provisions to members of the Sangha.

After this, Presiding Monk of San Myaing Taw Ya Monestry Bhanddanta Thuria delivered a sermon dedicated to the Kathina ceremony, and shared merits together with the congregation. After the ceremony, members of the Sangha were offered with “soon” ( a day meal).

          The Ceremony, held in accordance with guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Sports, 25 people participated including Directors-General and Deputy Directors-General.
