Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, U Thaung Tun received H.E. Mr. Ronen Gilor, the Israeli Ambassador to Myanmar and discussed the promotion of bilateral cooperation in Agriculture, Technical and Vocational Education, Health and ICT sectors at the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations today at 10:00 am.

During the meeting, the Union Minister underscored to promote the existing cooperation in agricultural sector particularly in quality seeds production, technical assistance for production and marketing Myanma high-quality fruits and vegetables to high-end markets by applying modern post- harvest technology.

The Union Minister also welcomed future cooperation in TVET sector and Israel’s investment in health sector, especially pharmaceutical manufacturing and medical services. 

Furthermore, both side exchanged views on the opportunities to enhance the existing cooperation in above mentioned areas.

The meeting was also attended by the Director General of Foreign Economic Relations Department and senior officials.
