NAY PYI TAW- Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, U ThaungTun and H.E. Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Trade and Industry of Singapore held a virtual meeting via zoom today.

The ministers exchanged views on regional and bilateral issues, including issues relating to the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) and the preparations being made for the signing of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Agreement. They also discussed trade and investment promotion particularly with regard to high quality rice production and export of Myanmar fruits and vegetables to Singapore as well as the potential for cooperation in solar energy and industrial parks.

The meeting was also attended by the Director General and the Deputy Director General of the Foreign Economic Relations Department.
