The 7th General Meeting of the Myanmar-Japan Joint Initiative (MJJI) Phase II co-chaired by U Thaung Tun, Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, U Soe Win, Union Minister for Planning and Finance and Mr. Ichiro MARUYAMA, Japanese Ambassador to Myanmar was held at the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, today.

The meeting was attended by the senior officials from the relevant ministries, the representatives from the Japanese Embassy, the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Myanmar) (JCCM), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI).

At the meeting, the Japan side welcomed the facilitation and liberalization measures undertaken by the Myanmar Government, particularly with regard to the arrangement to promote and facilitate Japanese investment in Myanmar. The Myanmar side updated the meeting on the measures undertaken to address the issues raised by JCCM.
