The thirty-eight meeting of High - Level Task Force on ASEAN Economic Integration (38th HLTF-EI) was held via video conference on 28 July, 2020 and Permanent Secretary, U Aung Naing Oo joined the meeting from Office No.1, Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations.

During the meeting, HLTF-EI Leads exchanged the views on the COVID-19 Response in the region and the development of a comprehensive recovery plan for ASEAN, Mid-Term Review of the AEC Blueprint 2025 and the Post-2025 Vision, Priority Economic Deliverables for Viet Nam’s ASEAN Chairmanship, the Fourth Industrial Revolution , ERIA Study on the Impact of the ASEAN Economic Integration, Regulatory Management System(RMS) Forum, preparation of Brunei Darussalam’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2021 ,and HLTF-EI Recommendations to the 52nd ASEAN Economic Ministers’ Meeting which will be held in August 2020.

The meeting was chaired by H.E Gabriel Lim, Permanent Secretary for Ministry of Industry and Trade, Singapore. HLTF-EI Leaders from ASEAN Member States, Deputy Secretary General from ASEAN Secretariat and representatives took part in the meeting.
