U Bharat Singh, Deputy Minister for Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations and Canadian Deputy Minister of International Trade of Global Affairs H.E John Hannaford discussed trade and investment promotion between the two countries via audio call on July 24, 2020.

They also touched upon matters relating to the setting up of a possible ASEAN-Canada Free Trade Agreement.
