Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, U Thaung Tun received Mr. David Stilwell, United States Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs at the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations in Nay Pyi Taw this morning. The United States Assistant Secretary of State was accompanied by US Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Scot Marciel.

At the meeting, they discussed matters relating to trade and economic relations between the two countries and ways and means to further promotes US investment in Myanmar.
