Nay Pyi Taw, January 19

Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations U Thaung Tun received H.E Mr. Hideo Watanabe, Chairman of the Japan-Myanmar Association and former Member of the House of Councilors of Japan this afternoon in Nay Pyi Taw. Mr. Watanabe was accompanied by the Ambassador of Japan H.E Mr. Ichiro Maruyama and Mr. Kazuyuki Takimi, Counselor of the Embassy. 

During the meeting, they discussed matters relating to further promotion of economic and investment cooperation in Myanmar in the coming years.

Deputy Minister U Bharat Singh and Director General for Foreign Economic Relations Department U Than Aung Kyaw were also present at the call.
