Nay Pyi Taw – January 25

U Thaung Tun, Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations received Ms. Hai Kyung Jun, UNHCR Representative this morning in Nay Pyi Taw.

During the meeting, they cordially discussed the matters relating to the assistance of UNHCR to the Government’s efforts on the voluntary, safe and dignified repatriation and resettlement of refugees in Rakhine State and cooperation between the Government of Myanmar and UNHCR on humanitarian assistance beyond COVID-19.

Senior officials from Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations and        Ms. Yukiko Iriyama, Deputy Representative of UNHCR also joined the meeting.
