Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations (MIFER), the aiming to develop the human resources and to improve the capacity of staffs, the 37th ceremony of Friday Talk of Knowledge Sharing Program - KSP was held at the Office No (1), Nay Pyi Taw in the afternoon of today. Dr. Kan Zaw, the Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations attended and delivered the opening remarks.

The Union Minister pointed out that Knowledge Sharing Program -KSP is holding and sharing knowledge by resource person aiming not only for personal knowledge but only for each and every staff of our ministry to get knowledge for applying the practical fields through KSP. He underlined that today’s discussion is related with E- Commerce Policy Development and Strategies Implementation for SMEs Development in Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar and Thailand and the said topic is necessary to understand for all staff. He also stressed that as living in the 21st century, the digital age and information and technology (IT) are essential for everyone, and also E-commerce and the digital payment are effectively and widely using in today’s world, and the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise – MSMEs can speed up the growth of the country’ s GDP as well as the economic development. And then, he emphasized that CLMVT are developed in the sectors of infrastructure, internet and telecommunication, and the presenter to deliver the connections between SMEs status and necessary for the readiness of Myanmar’s E-commerce, and urged that the staffs need to actively participate in today’s discussion.

Daw Khin Ohmar Aung, Director from Directorate of Investment and Company Administration presented the topic Knowledge Sharing on E-Commerce Policy Development and Strategies Implementation for SMEs Development in Mekong Region”. The related matters about the Non- Tariff Measures, the products of international standard connecting with MSMEs and E-commerce and using online platform of Myanmar were openly discussed by attendees.

Deputy Minister, Director General from Foreign Economic Relations Department, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Deputy Director General and Senior Officials and total 120 persons of the staff joined this program.
