Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, U Thaung Tun delivered a video message as part of the 17th China–ASEAN Expo Roundtable Meeting on Investment Cooperation now taking place in Nanning, China.
The Union Minister used the opportunity to highlight the range of investment promotion and reform measures currently underway in Myanmar and further affirmed the benefits that quality, responsible investment can bring, stating that when an enterprise invests in Myanmar, it is mutually-beneficial. The investment creates jobs, sustains growth and spreads prosperity.
The China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) since its inauguration in 2004, has provided an important platform that facilitates open and friendly economic, trade, and people-to-people exchanges while deepening dialogue and reciprocal cooperation. This year’s China-ASEAN Expo is being held both virtually and in-person to help assist the fight against COVID-19 while maintaining high-levels of cooperation.
